In this 152nd Episode of the Spideydude Experience, the group discusses Amazing Spider-Man hits legacy #1000, and the Clone Saga is heading to television.
ASM (2025) #36 (legacy #1000) is the milestone issue of Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz’s run. The lead story, “Ravaged,” picks up after Aunt May is rushed to the hospital at the end of #35 and throws Spider-Man at a new villain, Ravage, tied to May’s newly discovered son, Cormac Crane. After the main story, the issue turns into an anniversary anthology: Noah Hawley and Patrick Gleason’s “Still Standing,” Frank Miller with Peach Momoko, J.M. DeMatteis, Dan Slott, Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen, Larry Lieber, Marcos Martin, Humberto Ramos, and more. Covers are by Pepe Larraz, John Romita Jr., and Paolo Rivera. $9.99, about 104 pages, on sale September 30, 2026.
We also get into the Clone Saga show news. Deadline reported that Sony and Prime Video are nearing a series order for a live-action Clone Saga series focused on Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker. Later reporting framed it as a buddy-cop setup: the two discover they are clones, and that discovery drives the plot. Sources say it will take liberties with the comics, including possible origin changes. Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller are expected to executive produce with Charles Yu. Like Spider-Noir, it is planned to debut on MGM+ before Prime Video. No release date yet.
Clone Saga Chronicles launched in 2009 with Joshua Lapin-Bertone and ran through a finale in 2022 (episode 76). If anybody on the internet has earned the right to talk about Ben, Kaine, the Jackal, and what a screen version should and should not change, it is this show.
