In this special edition of the Spideydude Experience, Zach Joiner is joined by Superman expert Michael Bailey (baileyplanet.org) and Ashley Renee (with Neil joining in) for a deep dive into the DC-published Superman/Spider-Man crossover — the historic team-up celebrating 50 years of Marvel/DC crossovers!
The crew breaks down the main story by Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez (Clark Kent and Peter Parker chasing the same story, with Brainiac and Doctor Octopus in the mix), plus the backup tales featuring Lois Lane & Mary Jane, Jimmy Olsen & Carnage, Superboy & Spider-Man 2099, Power Girl & Punisher, Superboy Prime & black-suit Spider-Man, and more. Expect analysis of the chemistry between the Man of Steel and the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, creative team highlights, comparisons to the classic 1976 and 1981 crossovers, and plenty of fan discussion.Whether you’re a lifelong Superman fan, a Spider-Man devotee, or just love intercompany team-ups, this episode covers the big event from both sides of the fence.
